My, havent Year 5 been busy! on Tuesday 4th October, Year 5 went to Rock and River in Maudsley, near Eccleston. The children's behaviour was outstanding, everyone really enjoyed themselves and learnt lots of new skills. The children took part in rifle shooting, climbing tower or balance beam and kayaking. Overall a great day enjoyed by all!

Year 5 have been very busy this term visiting Priory Sports and Technology College to hace specialist trampolining sessions with their PE specialist Miss Law. She has taught us how to do pikes, straddles, front and back drops, swivel hips and full and half turns. Even Mrs Dykes the class teacher has had a go! We are enjoying every minute and can now create our own routines which we have performed to each other.

Parents of 3 and 4 year old children will now be busy choosing a primary school for September 2012. Admission Booklets will be distributed week commencing 17th October 2011 and parents have until 15th January 2012 to make their choices. Notification of allocated places to schools will be notified by the LEA on 23rd April 2012.
Prospective parents are welcome to come and have a look around Penwortham Primary. Please feel free to make an appointment to see our exciting vibrant school in action.
We will be holding a meeting on 7th November 2011 at 6.30pm for prospective parents. If you would like to attend this meeting, we would be grateful if you could confirm with school before the meeting.
Penwortham Primary has a very successful pre school induction group which runs on a Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm. The first session will start on the 6th October. Please have a look on our Induction Group pages to see what fun things we do! |
